Policy on Refunds

As a commercial provider, GR Group will have a well-publicised fee refund policy for domestic students. The conditions for granting refunds must be made clear to students at the time of formal application for enrolment. The fee refund process must be prompt, easily understood and readily accessible to students. The policy states that:

GR Group will refund all payments made by a student if the course is cancelled or course commencement is postponed by more than four (4) weeks, unless alternative arrangements suitable to the student are made.

Prior to commencement, a student may be required to give a maximum of 10 weeks notice in writing of withdrawal from a course to obtain a full refund, minus an administration fee not exceeding $350.00.

After commencement, a student may be required to give a maximum of 10 weeks notice in writing of withdrawal from the course to obtain a refund of payments relating to the remainder of the course after the 10 weeks notice. The refund will be given within four (4) weeks of written notification by the student.

Any other requests for refunds will be considered on their individual merit given that it is not the Policy to offer refunds outside the above parameters. The decision of the directors of GR Group is final, subject to the Policy on Grievances and consumers' rights under the law.

Financial Standards

GR Group has a policy of keeping all students' monies from payments made in advance of a course or programme in a trust account which is separate from and unavailable to the main bank accounts. All students' monies will remain in the trust account until six weeks prior to any course or programme for which payment in advance is obtained.
